Paying students to come back

The Australian Government wants student and working holiday visa holders who are still overseas to hurry back to Australia.

Any Student Visa holder who is currently offshore and returns before 19 March 2022 will be eligible for a refund of their visa application charge (AUD630). Any Working Holiday Maker Visa holder who is currently offshore and returns before 19 April 2022 will be eligible for a refund of their visa application charge (AUD495).

The government has also temporarily lifted the limit on working hours for Student Visa holders.

And, during 2022, there is no limit on how long working holiday makers can work for the same employer.

Students and working holiday makers are a critical part of Australia’s workforce.
